Average Case Fee

Average Case Fee

A quick diagnostic tool for determining the effectivenss of your case presentation skills is Average Case Fee (ACF). It is figured out by dividing production or collections by # of New Patients.

Examples:

50K divided by 25 NPs = ACF of 2K

50K divided by 50 NPs = ACF of 1K

An ACF of 1K indicates the practice pretty much only does dentistry that is covered by the patient's dental insurance/benefit. An ACF of 2K is pretty typical or even slightly above average. We like to see our clients with an ACF of $2500.00 - $3000.00.

Obviously how a dentist likes to practice, the type of dentistry done and to a lesser degree location all factor into the ACF.

What is your ACF?
