New patient protocol (non emergency)

A. Patient is welcomed and paper work is done. A little extra time should be allocated for this. If there is an available consultation room, let the patient do the paperwork there.
B. If all forms and paperwork are already complete, the treatment coordinator (TC) or front desk person should review completeness, answer questions, tell the new patient about the practice, etc. TC takes note of questions or concerns NP has to be reviewed by the dentist.
C. A tour of the practice should be given by the TC or FD person.
D. Patient will meet hygienist, be seated, and work should begin.
E. At some point the dentist will do a comprehensive exam.
F. Treatment plan is reviewed with patient. Hygienist present to help educate and gain acceptance.
