Estimate of Benefits

There are times when a dentist might feel it's necessary to get an EOB, but as a general rule, unless you can get a realtime estimate, I don't recommend doing so because about 50% of patients who have to wait do not schedule. If you request an EOB, then schedule the patient far enough into the future so that the EOB will hopefully get back to you in time. You can always require a predetermination for those plans that you know pay poorly.Update Post Update the published post on the site
