Probation periods

Most states are At-Will, so there’s little benefit to having a probationary period. If you tell an employee he or she is on "90-day probation," that creates an implied agreement to keep the person for at least 90 days. Instead, only put time parameters on when benefits, such as vacations and bonuses, will kick in.
